From a mechanical services viewpoint the integration of a biofuels CHP district heating scheme, solar domestic water heating, low-energy mechanical ventilation heat recovery, underfloor heating and low water-usage sanitaryware has been crucial.
There is even a compost toilet using MVHR to assist in the composting process! Throughout the design and the building stages JRS have provided an excellent coordinating service and taken on board the low-energy requirements and even the architects unreasonable aesthetic demands!"
